SAVOGNO AND DASILE 1030m It is this the
most classic hike you can make starting directly from the camping-site.
Savogno is a very typical mountain village where you can see lots of
old houses very closed one to each-other and
separated by narrow ways. You can reach it by a nice walk along an old
muleteer with many steps. There is also a refuge at the village and you can
also have lunch there of-course . Dasile is only at half an hour from
Savogno, it was built on a sunny, green terrace and from there you can enjoy
a nice panoramic view on the entire valley
THE ACQUAFRAGGIA LAKE Those who want to walk longer may go on after Savogno and reach the lake where the Acquafraggia creek begins its way and forms- further below - the famous waterfall. It a pretty long hike and it is better to start early in the morning especially during summer time because all the path receive lots of sun. You can enjoy the freshness you need beside the lake and relax in this special, lonely place. More extention from the Lake to the Chiara and Walter bivouac or longer crossing over alpine passes |

THE ANGELOGA This is probably the most well known mountain hike among the many possibilities you can find in the Valle Spluga (the valley from Chiavenna to Splugenpass). The refuge is located by the Angeloga huts among nice alpine meadows and near a tipycal lake, all this is at the foot of the Pizzo Stella mountain. The place is quite suitable to families and children and you can reach it from Fraciscio along a mountain path in about 2 hours.

THE BERTACCHI REFUGE It is this a rather short and not steep hike that reach one of the plenty of lakes of this region. Here, as well as at the Angeloga, you find a refuge where lunch or spend a night is possible. This is also a place that is fit for families if you choose a fine and not windy day. You begin your hike from Montespluga that is a very nice place with an artificial lake and wide alpine pasture. From this place you can start for many other interesting hikes. |

THE SCIORA HUT With this wonderful hike you can watch closely the famous Badile granite peak and all other beautyful Bondasca mountains. You start the excursion from Bondo and you need to buy a ticket to follow a white road till Laret.

 From the refuge, those who want to make a longer hike can go further on and follow with care the mountain path that reach the other refuge of the valley (Sass Furà) then walk down to link the path not far from the parking at the end of the road (4 hours). |

ALBIGNA HUT If you want to reach the Albigna hut it is advisable you take the small cabin block till the base of the huge wall of the dam and go on to the refuge by a short and panoramic hike. You will enjoy all the beautyful mountains around the lake. To come back it is also possible to walk through the wood returning exactly at the point where you started.
THROUGH CASNILE PASS TRAVERSING Whose are well prepared can go over Albigna Hut and follow this interesting excursion through the Casnile pass. You must take care expecially when you cross a snow fields near the pass and to some easy rocky passages along the path. Walking on the glacier it is instead not difficult or dangerous and you can make it with normal trekking shoes without any particular equipment. All the hike is very panoramic and the last part goes through a wonderful landscape near the Cavloc lake. From Maloja you can return by bus to the Albigna cabin-block parking. The excursion can also be made in one day as the first cabin is departing from 7,00 am on. |
