Two new, beautiful via Ferrata (Klettersteig)have been recently equipped (2015) around Chiavenna. The first, easier one, is located by Mese and it is fit for beginners or youngs also (always under supervision of an expert adult or Mountain guide). The latter, longer and more demanding one, climbs the huge "Sench of Dalò", exactly above Chiavenna and offers exiting view over the town and on to the mountain all around. The condition of the equipment is excellent. We recommend the use of proper gear and knowledge of technique for via Ferrata as explained on the apposite poster placed at the start of each itinerary.
